In my view, compared to large corporations and governments, individuals possess a limited capacity to make a significant impact on solving water pollution. This perspective is consistent with Andrew's belief that addressing this issue effectively requires substantial resources and effort, typically beyond what individuals can provide. Moreover, combating water pollution often demands hefty financial investments in infrastructure and technology, usually out of reach for individuals. Large-scale initiatives, such as wastewater treatment plants or industrial cleanup operations, are typically funded and managed by governments or major corporations. For instance, my cousin Ethan recently witnessed the successful cleanup of a long-polluted local river, a project made possible by a government initiative that installed advanced wastewater treatment facilities along the riverbank. Ethan remarked on the noticeable improvement in water clarity and the return of local wildlife, including fish and birds that had avoided the area for years. Clearly, such efforts are challenging to replicate through individual actions alone.
