Would you try to convince parents to accept your opinion or respect theirs?

Honestly speaking, I will choose to respect my parents' views when we have a disagreement. The main reason is that I think the family relationship should always come first, just because my parents disagree with me doesn't mean they do not love me. I remember one time when my favorite singer showed on TV. My father judged that he sang like a crow. I didn't even try to say anything and just finished watching. Sometimes I found it's hard to convince them no matter how hard I tried. So, I learn not to convince anybody in daily life. For me, it's a good thing that every person can hold his opinion.
