Do some people judge themselves more harshly than they judge others？

I agree with the statement that some individuals are more critical of themselves than they are of others. When it comes to self-judgment, I find that setting high standards for myself can be incredibly effective. For instance, recognizing my need to expand my knowledge, I might impose a rule on myself to read one book per month. This is not only beneficial for my education but also helps me maintain a consistent pace of learning.

On the other hand, applying the same standards to others can sometimes result in unintended consequences. If I were to suggest to someone that they should also read a book each month, they might feel that I am implying they are not well-read or that they lack certain information. This could lead to misunderstandings.
