Should success in life sometimes require making enemies？

I disagree with the statement that to be successful in life, sometimes you have to make enemies. 

Firstly, maintaining positive relationships is crucial for personal and professional growth. For example, a manager who fosters a positive environment within their team and across the company is likely to have a more productive and motivated workforce. This can lead to better project outcomes and increased likelihood of promotions for the manager. 

Secondly, making enemies can hinder one's ability to work effectively in a team or collaborate with others, a colleague who alienates others by being combative or difficult to work with may find themselves excluded from important projects or decision-making processes, which can be bad for their career progress.
