I think the university should make food available in the residence halls during final exam week. They could sell light, low-priced boxed meals-like sandwiches with fruit-in the dormitory lobbies. This quick, convenient meal option would help students in a couple of ways. First, students wouldn't have to go all the way to the dining hall or the student center to buy food. Second, since the boxed meals would be prepared in advance, they could be sold late at night when the dining hall and student center are closed, thus providing nutritious food for students who get hungry staying up late to study. Sincerely, Susan Day
This is a great idea. You think?
definitely. I mean a lot of us who are studying in our dorm rooms and when you're studying for the last big test, or if you're in the middle of writing a final paper, stopping to go across campus can be a huge disruption.
Is it that big deal ?
During finals week?
Definitely. You're normally studying right up to dinner time. But if you have to go all the way across campus for something to eat, well, 9 times out of 10, you run into somebody on the way. So you start to talk and your break gets longer and longer, which totally interrupts your studying.
I see what you mean. This way you could just run downstairs, grab a snack and keep right on working
exactly.
OK. But why late at night? Isn't that kind of extreme?
Not really, students get really hungry when they stay up late working. What happens now is you go for the vending machines, right? Because that's what's nearby machines with chips, candy, soda.
That is so true
and I don't know about you. But after I eat junk food like that, I start feeling sleepy and awful, like my energy is worse, not better.
yeah I know the feeling.
So something more substantial and nutritious, like a sandwich or an apple, would be a much better way of keeping your energy level high
right. Keeps you going longe

The student suggests that the university should sell meals in dormitory lobbies during finals week. This would provide students with quick, convenient food options, especially late at night when dining halls are closed.
The woman in the conversation strongly supports this idea. First, she says walking across campus wastes time—you might meet friends and lose focus. With dorm food, you can grab a snack quickly and keep studying. Second, Currently, late-night snacks come from vending machines offering only junk food that causes energy crashes. And she hates that because it only makes her feel sleepy and low on energy. A nutritious sandwich or fruit would help students stay energized during late-night study sessions. She concludes that this plan saves time and improves energy levels, making finals week easier.
