Should freshmen and sophomores be required to live in on-campus dormitories?

I disagree with the statement that freshmen and sophomores should be required to live in dormitories on campus. 

Firstly, requiring students to live in dormitories can limit their freedom of choice. Some students may prefer living off-campus for various reasons, such as having their own space, living with family, or saving money on rent. Mandating that all students live in dormitories deprives them of the right to make choices based on their needs and preferences. 

Secondly, living off-campus can often be more affordable than dormitory living. For example, students can find their own housing and split rent with roommates, which can lead to significant savings. Additionally, off-campus housing options may offer more amenities and flexibility, such as having a kitchen and being able to make your own meals.
