(man) Thanks for the information. I might take a look at that website. If you could send me the address, I’ll give you my email. And for the poster paper, I'm thinking now I'd like more of a beige color to give it that antique look.

(woman) Sure, I’ll email it to you. And we do have beige poster paper, too.

译文

Listen to a conversation between a student and an employee at the campus bookstore. (man) Yeah, I think something like this would work. Thanks.(woman) So, are you involved with the university\'s theater department?(man) No, um, I’m majoring in art and taking a course in advertising design this semester. But my roommate’s the director of the play, and he asked if I could make a poster for the student lounge to advertise the show.I figured it\'d be a great practice. Maybe I can even use it for a course project.(woman) That\'s great. And that play Our Town is one of my absolute favorites. When\'s the show?(man) Uh, it\'s at the end of October, um, opening nights, the 22nd.(woman) I\'ll try to get tickets. By the way, I have this friend who is a professional illustrator.There\'s a website he really loves. It\'s set up to help people who are designing, book covers, posters, you name it.And if you want, I can give you the web address. It\'s free and easy to use.(man) Thanks, but um, I\'ve already got some ideas for my design and I\'d rather go with my own instincts than you know work from someone else\'s pattern.(woman) Oh, it\'s not really patterns. And of course, it\'s up to you. But this website gives advice on how to incorporate photos and other images into your own design.(man) Um, photos. You know, that\'s not a bad idea.(woman) For example, since the player advertising is set in the early 1900s, the site could help you locate images from the period to, you know, get a feel for what people and places look like then.(man) Um, come to think of it. I\'ve been trying to picture with the real Grover’s Corners might’ve looked like. Uh, maybe I’ll build the design around that.(woman) But you know, there is no Grover’s Corners.(man) Um, no? I thought the play was set in Grover’s Corners in the state of New Hampshire.(woman) It\'s sort of a made-up town.(man) Really? Not a real town?(woman) There is a town that gave the author the idea for it. And that is in New Hampshire, but it\'s called Peterborough.See, Thornton Wilder, the author, he stayed in an artist colony there, and was really impressed with Peterborough’s friendly, easy going atmosphere. So, it became his inspiration for the play.(man) Wow! You know a lot about this play and about Thornton Wilder.(woman) I majored in U.S. literature and actually wrote a paper on Our Town.(man) Thanks for the information. I might take a look at that website. If you could send me the address, I’ll give you my email. And for the poster paper, I\'m thinking now I\'d like more of a beige color to give it that antique look.(woman) Sure, I’ll email it to you. And we do have beige poster paper, too.
