From my perspective, the disparities between different people from different countries are narrowing, a viewpoint that aligns with Miles' notion. Additionally, I would further argue that education is playing a crucial role in bringing people from various backgrounds closer. To be specific, education fosters cultural understanding by exposing individuals to diverse perspectives, customs, and traditions. When people learn about other cultures through education, they develop empathy, respect, and appreciation for the uniqueness of each society, leading to a deeper sense of connection and shared humanity. Through education, people learn about diversity and the importance of accepting others regardless of their background. This cultivates a more tolerant and inclusive mindset, reducing prejudices and stereotypes among different cultural groups. For example, with increased access to education, people in China can gain insights into Western cultures, bridging the gap between Chinese and American individuals. Cultural exchange and understanding fostered through education contribute to a more inclusive world where differences are reduced, promoting mutual respect and cooperation.
