Do you think cinemas will cease to exist in the future?

From my perspective, going to cinemas to watch movies will become a thing of the past in the future. This viewpoint aligns with Claire’s belief that people may not need a big screen to enjoy modern-day productions. I would further argue that for many, the cost of a cinema ticket, especially for a family or group, can be prohibitive. Streaming services offer a more cost-effective solution, with monthly subscriptions often costing less than a single cinema ticket. This economic factor can sway viewers towards choosing streaming services over traditional cinema visits.  For example, Lilly, a movie enthusiast, used to enjoy weekly cinema trips with her friends. However, as ticket prices increased, these outings became a significant financial burden. Realizing this, Lilly subscribed to a popular streaming service. The change was remarkable. For the cost of one cinema ticket, she now had access to a vast library of movies and series monthly. This shift allowed her to explore a broader range of genres and classics from the comfort of her home. It also became a new way for her to connect with friends, as they started hosting movie nights, discussing films online, and sharing recommendations.
