Your university currently requires all students to take one humanities course in a subject such as literature or philosophy in order to graduate. However, some students majoring in subjects such as math and science think that these humanities courses are not relevant to their field of study, and they should therefore not be required to take them. Do you agree with these students? Explain why or why not.

Personally, I agree with these students.
First off, students would be under considerable pressure with this change, since they already have too many assignments and need to prepare for their finals. Some might need to do part-time jobs or have internship projects. Those science students would do many experiments and write paper, so it is really hard for them to set aside time to learn humanities courses.
Second, it's not a cost-effective way to do this, since the teachers in the school might not be sufficient enough. The schools have to hire some new teachers and buy reference books for students. Additionally, there is a possibility of increased tuition fees which would impose a significant financial burden on students.
