Good Neighbor Policy At State University, we value the relationship we have with the individuals and families who live in the surrounding community. Recently, the university has received complaints from some local residents about the noise levels on campus at night. Therefore, State Universit considering introducing a "Good Neighbor Policy," which would require students to limit noise outdoors after 10 p.m. This policy would help maintain a good relationship between students and townspeople by ensuring that the local community continues to view the university in a positive light. Since noise can result from events and performances held outside, all future outdoor campus events would need to be scheduled to end before 10 p.m.

Woman：Hey,did you see that announcement today on the University website?
Man: Yeah? Shocking, huh? I hope they don't go through with it.
Woman: Me too.
Man : I mean, their reasoning, it just doesn't make sense. Most people who live around here, they're mostly all involved with the university in some way. You know, their students, professors, other people who used to attend the university or work for the University now, yeah.
Woman: Yeah, so I imagine they probably fine with the university
Man: They're a part of it, exactly. I mean, just because a person or two might complain occasionally, most people probably aren't bothered. So it seems a little extreme to me to consider taking measures like this.
Woman: Totally seems like the university is overreacting, right?
Man: And especially since you know, if they start rescheduling things, that would definitely be a problem. I mean, how could they really, I know, right? Because a lot of the sports games and outdoor concerts go past that time now, and if they have to end earlier, it means they'll have to begin earlier. How would that work?
Woman: Well, students with evening classes wouldn't even be able to make it if there's an earlier start time
M:Right! And it's not even like the games and stuff are all that noisy. I don't know this just seems like a terrible idea.
